Amanda Jackson BA (Hons.) QTS: Inspector – Standards and Effectiveness Computing and Online Safety and NQT Co-ordinator
Amanda Jackson is the Inspector for Standards and Effectiveness for Computing and eSafety, working for Havering Education Services. She has 16 years’ experience working across the primary and secondary sectors in Computing and ICT education, including 9 years in school improvement. She is part of the team that was awarded the BETT Awards (highly commended) for ‘ICT Service and Support’ in 2013 and shortlisted for the Naace ICT Impact Awards in 2013. She is a School Improvement Professional for primary schools in Havering and has completed full Ofsted pre-accreditation training. She is also the NQT Coordinator for the London Borough of Havering, quality assuring the provision as the Appropriate Body.
Amanda has worked with Rising Stars on the development of Switched on Computing. She has contributed to other computing projects including the CAS/Naace guide to the computing curriculum for primary teachers, and the same document for secondary teachers. She runs a CAS Hub in Havering to bring together colleagues from across the region to develop computing in schools. Amanda is a Naace ICT Mark Assessor and has assessed and supported primary, secondary and special schools.

BETT Award – Service and Support – runner up 2013, shortlisted 2012; 2009 ICT Excellence Awards – ‘Support for Schools’ (Winner) and ‘Leadership, Management and Collaboration’ (Runner-up). 7 years’ senior leadership in 3 London schools. Senior National Tutor/Assistant Marketing Director at mPowerNet at Anglia Ruskin University. Bett Awards’ Judge, Junior Vice Chair of Naace, Naace Fellow and MirandaNet Senior Fellow. Accredited CEOP eSafety Ambassador. Completed full Ofsted pre-accreditation training.
