Attend the following SMARTBoard training session and if we get 20 attendees there will be a raffle for a set of the Senteo Voting/Response system.  The winning person will be able to take the set of equipment back for their school to own and have a free training session to get started…

The Havering Early Years’ ICT Project designed to develop effective use of ICT in the Foundation Stage is certainly gathering pace.  Practitioners from across schools and private, voluntary and independent settings are participating in the project.  They are examining the positive impact that ICT is having on Foundation Stage children.

The project is focussing on role-play equipment, a variety of software, visualisers, tablet PCs, digital cameras, animation, digital stills cameras, programmable toys, talking tins etc…

Tablet PC animation software launched

The University of Washington human computer interaction and design centre have launched a new, simple to use animation application for Tablet PCs. Making use of the touch sensitive screens used in Tablet PCs, K-Sketch allows users to draw simple pictures and then create motion paths to create animations. The freeware application is intended to aid presentation and education by allowing presenters to quickly create simple rough animated explanations of concepts in response to questions.http://www.cs.washington.edu/
