1. PRIMARY ICT (SUBJECT LEADERS’) MEETING – THEME: HANDHELD LEARNING
As well as the usual ICT updates and information for schools, the session will focus on the use of new handheld technologies, including tablet PCs, PDAs, Nintendo DS, PSP portables, mobile phones and ultra mobile PCs (mini laptops) led by Steljes leaders in the field (and the SMARTBoard people) and ConnectEd the PSP people (18th June only). Find out how Scargill Junior School have been using handheld technologies to support teaching and learning.
We will also have an exciting announcement from 2simple to share too!
Who can apply? Primary ICT Subject Leaders are entitled to first choice on these places. However, if you are not an ICT Subject Leader, but are involved in ICT development in your school e.g. Technician, Governor or member of an ICT Development Team etc please email dsmith.havering@lgfl.net to apply for a place on the course.

Join Dave Smith HIAS ICT Consultant and Karl Hector of TAG Learning (Podium Expert) to examine how Podium podcasting software can be used in your school. The course focuses on the use of sound to enhance and extend learning experiences for pupils regardless of the setting or curriculum focus. It will explore the use of Podium software to create Radio plays/programmes and broadcasts (for the web or otherwise). The course will also focus on the Podcasting element within the renewed framework for Literacy.
